Streaming the WRRC Rock'n'Roll World Cup: The 24th Primoz Bizilj Memorial

Every April, dancers from across Europe travel to Dobrova pri Ljubljani for the Primoz Bizilj Memorial, a WRRC Rock'n'Roll World Cup event held in honor of one of Slovenian dancesport's most respected names. This year marked the 24th edition, and we were behind the cameras once again to bring it to viewers who could not be in the hall.

Competitive dancesport moves fast, literally, and categories run back to back for hours: MCCS, juniors, juveniles, quattro formations and more, each with its own scoring rhythm and its own visual story to tell. Streaming an event like this means keeping the broadcast tight between categories, making sure every couple gets a fair, well-framed shot, and syncing graphics with results as they come in from the judging table.

Working with dance federations and organizing clubs has taught us to plan around the sport, not the other way around. We build our camera positions and run sheets around the competition schedule, so athletes, coaches and families abroad can follow every heat live, exactly as it happens on the floor in Dobrova.
