Inside the Control Room at the World Hip Hop and Popping Championships

Hala Tivoli filled up fast for the 2025 World Hip Hop and Popping Championships, and while the dancers owned the stage, our crew was tucked into the control room keeping the show on air. Multi-camera live production for a dance competition is its own kind of challenge: the energy shifts in seconds, and the broadcast has to shift with it.

We ran a full multi-camera setup to catch the routines from every angle: wide shots for the choreography, tighter shots for the footwork and facial expressions that make or break a battle, and a director calling cuts in real time based on what the judges and crowd were reacting to. None of that works without a director who understands dance, camera operators who can anticipate a move before it happens, and a vision mixer who can keep pace with a genre built on speed and precision.

Sport and dance competitions have become a genuine niche for us.
